Skillsmatch was a NoKCS employability programme that ran throughout autumn 07 and spring 08, its aim being to help older workers who had some experience of the industry back into construction.  So as to make most effective use of resources across North Kent, NoKCS worked alongside Jobsmatch Medway, Job Centre+, Employ North Kent and SkillsGateway.

“I’ve worked in this industry for over twenty years and didn’t have a piece of paper to my name.  I gained my level two last year and I’ve just completed my level three.  If it wasn’t for NoKCS I’d be still looking for contractors who were happy to take me on without any qualifications or CSCS and that was getting harder by the week.”
